Home-based Business Week events for all Home-based Businesses
At least 25 events will be held across the State during Home-based Business Week 2009 which runs from 25 May - 29 May. Topics such as selling during tough times, cash flow, e-marketing and many more will be covered.
Events have been developed along the theme ‘imagine, create and evolve' as it reflects the needs of the solo business community.
Nearly 2,000 people attended the 37 events last year, and this year promises to be bigger and better.

About Home-based Businesses
Home-based business is one of the fastest growing sectors in the NSW economy, making up about two-thirds of the State's small businesses.
In its 2008 survey of home-based businesses for Flying Solo Australia, Tribe Research found that home-based businesses have slightly more females than males with almost half aged between 40 and 54, and more than a third aged between 25 and 39.
Tribe Research reported close to half of those who participated in its survey, work 30 to 50 hours each week, with nearly two thirds reporting they had purchased computer software in the previous 12 months, and that 58 per cent had bought personal computers.
Almost half reported using Facebook, Linkedin and or MySpace with almost half reporting that they networked monthly or quarterly.
Home-based businesses cover an array of industries from builders, homeopaths, doll makers, mystery shoppers, accountants, marketing consultants, graphic designers and many others.
